My Story
When I was a kid, I had a single piece of bismuth. I didn’t know much about it at the time, but something about the strange, rainbow-like metal stuck with me. Years later almost two decades later I stumbled across a photo of a bismuth crystal online. The sight instantly brought back memories, and I went digging through old boxes trying to find my childhood piece. I never did.
Instead, I found something better. After watching videos and doing a little research, I realized I could actually make bismuth crystals myself at home. What started as a hobby turned into a quiet obsession. For years I experimented, mostly creating small crystals, just enjoying the process and the surprise in every new piece.
Then, about two years ago, something shifted. The crystals I was growing began to get bigger and more striking. Friends encouraged me to start filming the process, so I did. I shared my first videos online, not expecting much. But to my surprise, they exploded. Millions of people were suddenly watching these shimmering creations take form in molten metal.
As my following grew, so did the size of the crystals. Some of my videos passed 10 million views, and today there are over 250,000 people from around the world following along. It still amazes me that a hobby born from a childhood memory has grown into something so magical.
Just like bismuth itself, with its brilliant colors and unexpected beauty, this journey has shown me how something small can transform into something extraordinary. And now, I get to share the same love for bismuth that first captured my imagination all those years ago.
